Will
A note I found on Ancestry. Seems he was known as Ben
War record: Ben was a conscientious objector in World War I. He spent time in Dartmoor prison for this and later had to work on the land. His father died towards the end of the war and Charles Alfred came up from Cornwall to run the business until Ben was able to take it over. He later said that World War II was different and he would have had to fight.
