Herbert Henry Harman was born in the first quarter of 1867 at Grimsby, Lincolnshire. In the second quarter of 1898 he married Katherine Emilie M. Otterbach. From 1901 he edited the German "Raven" magazine Worte der Gnade und Wahrheit, which later turned "Glanton". He died (reportedly committed suicide) on 14 May 1916 during his internment at Ruhleben near Berlin.
