What grace and glory when God empowered his servant, Charles surgeon, to be a voice in defense of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, tho he once said God's word is like a lion, doesn't need defending, let it loose it will defend itself. always desired to attend a service at the Tabernacle. I still have his classic morning and evening daily devotional I bought 43 yrs ago,gleaned much about Jesus the holy spirit moving his pen.

Spurgeon's devotions are readable and memorable and a blessing every day.
