Canada Brethren had given. They are much attached to each other, Frederick’s wife’s brother has found peace & is in communion. I hope the Brethren will approve of my distribution. I dare say they will allow me to give a lift with a part, if the Grants are not in present need, to a Baptist minister & his wife, true-hearted, upright people. They have received the truth & are in difficulties. I do not know what they will do, she is clear we are right, he wishes he had seen it 20 years ago at which time he left the Baptists, but was not clear, & was asked to stop at Hamilton as minister, and accepted. I think the Lord is evidently at work with them. I have helped them in a round about way since I left Hamilton that it might not be as to bring them out, they were living very low she having a school to pay something they still owed in the States (they are Yankees) for enlarging a house for a school which the state of things there for some years back since 57, then the war broke in a measure up. Gansby’s collection, of which Evans has told me, is expressly for the Grants, I should, unless otherwise told, of course, give to them. I am glad to hear you are better. I shall hardly now return in mid-winter. I have still the States to visit, if the Lord will, at any rate the North West & the work at Toronto & Hamilton is just now in full tide. The Lord will direct. I have heard nothing as to the result as to East St. My very affectionate love to all the Brethren. I am most thankful for their prayers, all the attacks upon
