The following day 30th November, 1890, C. H. Mackintosh was a co-signatory to a declaration issued , “ At an Assembly Meeting of the Saints , gathered to the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, at 40 Westland Row, Dublin.
It was signed by seven other brethren which included J.C.Trench, G.W. Frazier and Henry
Conyngham.

"As to the charges brought against Mr. Raven of heresy, blasphemy, and attacking the Person of the Son of God, they are simply monstrous, there is no foundation for them."

This, the first sentence of the second paragraph, is of great significance. Indeed, the two or three which follow it give more than a clue as to what was going on among his critics.
